So I figured, I guess I will break down and just install Dual Sheath Redux fully, just for that one feature of being able to see the staff on my back (character image is important to me). I followed the instructions exactly, or so I think, and for good measure, I cut and merged the mesh files 20 different ways and tried replacing the files manually as well.

Says I need to download DSR manually and delete everything except the mesh files, and install them with the mod manager (Vortex, in my case). I was initially trying to use Equipping Overhaul, which works brilliantly, but it wouldn't show staves on my back. So if you are experienced, please don't write this off before reading it.

Let me start by saying that I am in no way a novice modder, I have been modding Skyrim since it was released and I have never had an issue I haven't been able to figure out on my own.
